Clean the outside of the kettle and its base with a damp soft cloth or sponge. The inside can be cleaned with a glass bottle cleaning brush if necessary. Clean the interior with dishwashing liquid and rinse thoroughly. Do not use strong alkaline cleaners. Allow the base and kettle to dry.     <\/p>\n<p><strong>CAUTION: Never immerse the kettle or its base completely in water or any other liquid.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desalination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Salt coating can affect the accuracy of temperature attainment and increase the heating time. To ensure maximum performance Brewista recommends desalting when salts are visible inside the kettle. Notes: Using vinegar may not remove all salts and may leave some odor in the kettle.    <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brewista recommends the use of Cafetto\u2122 Descaler.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For the first desalination<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>How to clean with the Cafetto\u2122 Descaler which is included in the packaging at the time of purchase:<\/p>\n<p>Mix 1 sachet of Cafetto\u2122 Descaler in 1200 ml of lukewarm water.<\/p>\n<p>Empty into the kettle. Heat until boiling. <\/p>\n<p>Leave for 15 minutes and empty the kettle.<\/p>\n<p>Rinse thoroughly.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>After the first use<\/strong> we recommend the use of Cafetto EVO Liquid Descaler 250ml.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each package is sufficient for 2 cleanings.<\/li>\n<li>Mix 125ml of Cafetto EVO Liquid Descaler 250ml (half the content) in 1 litre of water in the kettle.<\/li>\n<li>Start the kettle to the boiling point.<\/li>\n<li>Leave for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Rinse thoroughly and the result will be a fully desalinated kettle with no trace of salt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/coffeelovers.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/e29818-grinder-clean-450-gr-jar.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"373\" height=\"373\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT NOTE  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The use of other cleaning agents such as strong alkaline liquids and products intended for cleaning the heads of espresso machines DO NOT DETOX the kettle, resulting in corrosion, improper operation and finally the destruction of the kettle through the fault of the user.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a photo of a kettle in which a strong alkaline cleaning product has been used.
