The DiFluid R2 Extract Refractometer helps you determine exactly how much coffee extract is dissolved in your beverage. This is important for controlling the taste and strength of your coffee.

This is how it works:

Take a sample: Place a small drop of coffee on the measuring surface of the refractometer.
Measure: The device shines light through the drop and measures how the light is refracted.
Read the results: You will see the percentage extraction of your coffee on the display.

The DiFluid R2 Extract refractometer uses advanced digital refraction technology and is equipped with a carefully calibrated 2D CMOS image sensor, a micro-calibration layer and two temperature sensors. All this ensures very accurate measurements and high precision. You can connect the R2 Extract to the DiFluid Café app and accurately analyse all data and supplement it with data from other DiFluid tools.

Microcalibration. A huge leap in accuracy & precision:
The microcalibration layer compensates for external disturbances and physical deformations such as temperature changes or undissolved particles, greatly improving accuracy and stability.

Caps off! Faster, easier and more accurate:
R2 extract utilizes a carefully calibrated 2D CMOS imaging sensor, reducing risk of misalignment and fragility, while increasing data collection and eliminating the need for a cap.

Removing external influence:
Dual temperature sensors allow for incredible precision by reducing interference from the outside environment. This achieved by a compensation between two separarely placed temperature sensors within R2 extract.

Nano-scale hydrophobic layer:
The nano-scale hydrophobic layer prevents liquid from sticking to the glass, minimizing the need to touch it and providing an extra layer of protection against scratches, assuring long life.

Waterproof for easy cleaning:
R2 extract is IP67 water resistant, allowing you to simply rinse the sample dish under running water and wipe dry. Couldn’t be easier.
